Organization Description
The Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation raises money to support programs that help animals and their owners who are served by the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control. These programs include enhanced medical care for animals, animal rescue and care during disasters, low cost spay/neuter and vaccination programs, assisting owners with keeping animals during financial difficulties, grooming programs for care center animals, animal behavior and enrichment in the animal care centers, foster programs to save unweaned kittens and other animals with medical needs, and much more. Board members meet six times each year for regular meetings. Additional meetings for special topics may be called. The meetings are held virtually, but may return to one or two in-person meetings when the pandemic ends. The meetings are the 2nd Thursday of every other month beginning in January, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
